Neurodiversity Counselling
Counselling for autistic people and people with ADHD or PDA, from a team that works with neurodivergent people every day. Come as you are.
Counselling built for how you think
We work from a neurodiversity-affirming position. Your brain type is treated as a difference to work with, and sessions focus on helping you live life as you are.
Many neurodivergent people come to us after years of trying to be someone they're not, which is exhausting and takes a toll. We work on understanding your nervous system, building on your strengths, and finding strategies that work with your brain.
We also work where neurodivergence overlaps with trauma, mental health and late diagnosis and its particular grief.
Our approach
- Neurodiversity-affirming, always
- Come as you are
- Sensory and communication needs accommodated
- Strategies that work with your brain
- Trauma and neurodivergence intersections understood
Neurodivergence looks different in different people.
Autism, ADHD and PDA each have their own page.
Autism
Support for identity, masking, burnout, sensory overwhelm and social exhaustion.
Explore →ADHD
Practical support for executive function, emotional dysregulation, time blindness and RSD, with tools that suit how your brain works.
Explore →PDA
Pathological Demand Avoidance is widely misunderstood and often handled badly. We work with PDA profiles in children and adults, with the nuance they need.

1. Understanding your specific profile
Neurodivergence is a spectrum encompassing many different experiences. We spend time understanding how your brain works, what your strengths are, and what creates difficulty for you specifically.
2. Processing what masking has cost
Many neurodivergent adults have spent years masking. We work on the toll that's taken, the burnout, the lost identity, the anxiety of being always "on".
3. Practical strategies that fit
Strategies built for neurotypical brains often don't work for neurodivergent ones. We develop tools and approaches that work with your brain's architecture.
4. Building a life that fits
We help you design a life that's compatible with how you work: your relationships, environment, work and rest.
Where the difficulty comes from
The difficulty comes from the mismatch between neurodivergent brains and neurotypical expectations, and that's what we work on.

Affirming
We describe neurodivergent differences as differences, and our approach reflects that.
NDIS funded
Neurodiversity counselling can be funded under Improved Daily Living. We know how it works.
Accessible
We can adapt sessions to your sensory needs, communication style, and capacity on any given day.
Late diagnosis
Late diagnosis comes with its own grief and reckoning. We make room for it in sessions.
Cost, eligibility & getting started
What it costs
Pricing follows the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. What you pay depends on the session type and whether it's a weekday, evening, or weekend appointment. You don't need an NDIS plan to access support here. Private, self-funded sessions are available too. Cost is always confirmed with you in writing before anything starts.
Am I eligible?
Neurodiversity-affirming counselling typically sits under NDIS Capacity Building, usually Improved Daily Living, and Improved Relationships where that fits. If your plan includes this funding, a support coordinator or plan manager can help you check. You're also welcome without an NDIS plan, through private or self-funded sessions. You don't need a formal diagnosis before reaching out. Many people we work with are exploring what's going on, or waiting on an assessment.
Where we work
We're based in Thomastown and work across Greater Melbourne, the northern, western, and eastern suburbs. Online and telehealth sessions are available too, and some of our support extends into regional Victoria.
How to start
Reach out by phone, our contact form, or email. The first conversation is about what you're looking for, and no masking is required. From there, we match you with a practitioner who suits you. A first session is usually booked within a few business days.
You've spent long enough trying to be someone you're not.
Let's work with who you are.
