Purpose & Direction
You're doing all the right things and something still feels fundamentally off. Or you've just hit a wall and don't know what comes next. We start with what matters to you.
When the life you built doesn't fit.
A lot of people end up in lives they never really chose. They made sensible decisions, followed reasonable paths, and somewhere along the way the sense of meaning got lost. Or it was never there, just a succession of things that seemed like they should be fulfilling but weren't.
This is especially common for neurodivergent people who spent so much of their energy adapting to other people's expectations that they never developed a clear sense of what they value.
Purpose coaching gets honest about what matters to you, what kind of life feels worth living and what practical changes would move you toward it.

What we work on together
Sessions often cover these areas.
Values Clarification
What matters to you in practice: how you spend your time, what you're willing to sacrifice, what you can't compromise on. Getting clear on this comes first.
In practice: Completing a values card sort and ranking your top five, then looking at how closely your current life aligns with each one.
Identity after diagnosis
A late neurodivergence diagnosis (autism, ADHD or both) often raises questions of identity. Who am I if not who I've been performing? We work through that question with you.
In practice: Separating who you are from the roles and expectations you've been carrying, and exploring what you'd choose if you started fresh.
Midlife transition and reset
Midlife questioning, or a specific trigger such as redundancy, divorce, illness or kids leaving home, can crack the foundations and force a rebuild. We work through that transition with you.
In practice: Listing what the trigger has changed and what hasn't, then deciding which parts of your old life you want to keep.
The gap between your life and what you want
Mapping the distance between where you are and where you want to be, and working out what realistic, practical movement looks like.
In practice: Identifying the specific gap between where you are and where you want to be, then naming what's been keeping you from closing it.
What matters vs. what looks successful
Many people are objectively successful and still feel empty. Redefining success on your own terms, outside what you were told it should mean, is often the core of purpose work.
In practice: Writing two lists, what you were taught success looks like and what you want yours to include, then comparing them.
Meaning after loss or trauma
After illness, bereavement or disability, when life changes fundamentally, the old version of purpose often doesn't survive. We work on building meaning that fits who you are now.
In practice: Exploring what your old sense of purpose rested on, grieving what has changed, and trying out small new commitments that fit your life and body as they are now.

What it costs
Purpose and direction coaching follows the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits where it's NDIS-funded, with the amount depending on session type and timing, weekday, evening, or weekend.
This kind of coaching is also frequently accessed privately and self-funded, since values and identity work doesn't always map onto a specific NDIS category. We'll always confirm cost with you in writing before starting.
Am I eligible?
Where it fits, this coaching can be funded under NDIS Capacity Building, most commonly Improved Daily Living. A support coordinator or plan manager can help you check if your plan covers it.
Because purpose and direction work often sits outside formal NDIS categories, self-funded access is a normal, common path here, and no diagnosis is needed to start.
