Career & Work
Most career advice is written for neurotypical people in standard workplace environments. For neurodivergent people, and for anyone who doesn't fit neatly into the conventional path, it often misses completely. We work out what does work for you.
Work should work for you.
If you're burned out, stuck, underpaid or in the wrong field, or you just know there's something better, career coaching gives you the clarity and strategy to move.
For neurodivergent people, career can be complicated. Many have strong capability, but the environments they're placed in get in the way: open plan offices, inconsistent feedback, the expectation of flexible attention, office politics and sensory load. We help you work out which environments and structures suit your brain.
We also help with the fear of change. Most people who stay stuck in the wrong career are there because the uncertainty of change feels worse than the certainty of miserable-but-known.

What we work on together
Sessions often cover these areas.
Getting clear on what you want
Separating what you've been told you should want from what you want. Identifying your values, strengths and interests, and using them to find a direction that's yours.
In practice: Taking a skills and interests audit, then matching results against realistic career paths that suit your strengths and working style.
Career change strategy
If you know you're in the wrong place, how do you start moving? We plan around your finances, which skills carry over, timing, risk and the gap between jobs.
In practice: Building a transition plan that maps the skills you already have to target roles, sets a realistic timeline and picks the smallest first step you can take this week.
ADHD and autism in the workplace
We work on disclosure decisions, asking for adjustments, finding environments that suit your profile and managing executive function demands.
In practice: Mapping your ADHD or autism profile against your current work environment and identifying adjustments that would help you do your job well.
Working through fear of change
We look at the stories you tell yourself about why you can't change, the safety of the known and the fear of failure, and work out how to move despite them.
In practice: Identifying the specific fear or belief that's keeping you stuck, then testing it with a small, low-risk experiment this week.
Performance and confidence
For people dealing with imposter syndrome and self-doubt, who know they're capable but hold back in how they present and what they go for.
In practice: Preparing for a specific upcoming work situation, such as a meeting, a conversation or a presentation, with a concrete plan and practised responses.
Work-life sustainability
For people who love their work but are running themselves into the ground. We work on boundaries with work and protecting your capacity, particularly for people with heavy masking demands or caring responsibilities.
In practice: Auditing your weekly schedule together to find where energy drains are, then redesigning your routine to protect recovery time and set clearer boundaries.

What it costs
Career coaching sessions follow the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits when they're NDIS-funded, with cost depending on session type and whether it's a weekday, evening, or weekend booking.
A lot of career coaching also happens privately, self-funded, since career support doesn't always sit neatly inside NDIS categories. Either way, you'll always know the cost in writing before you commit to anything.
Am I eligible?
Where relevant, career coaching can be funded under NDIS Capacity Building, usually Improved Daily Living. If that funding is in your plan, your support coordinator or plan manager can help confirm it applies.
Career and work coaching often sits outside strict NDIS categories too, so self-funded access is common and doesn't require a diagnosis or NDIS plan at all.
